And hey there! Great news that you're looking into ZoomInfo pricing, because that means I am not too late. Before you commit to a year-long commitment (at least), take 10 minutes to digest the information on this page and learn everything you need to know about ZoomInfo, including:
- Pricing overview
- Hidden costs (that quickly add-up)

What is ZoomInfo pricing in 2025?
Three years ago this same question was asked on Reddit. And today it is still hard (but not impossible) to get a good answer. Scroll down to the next section to see the pricing and features of ZoomInfo's professional, advanced, and elite annual pricing plans.
Unfortunately ZoomInfo uses every trick in the book to hide pricing, trick people into free trials, and confuse and obscure how much stuff actually costs. It's one of the reasons we built Compass Data Enrichment.
A quick 2025 search on Reddit and you get some good intel:
- "We got a quote for almost $50,000 per year. They wanted to make it work by doing a free trial period and reducing the cost of the first month, but it was just too expensive." (reddit.com)
- "I am attempting to negotiate pricing as we get to EOQ. I'm curious if anyone else has purchased before and would share what they paid. The current offer I have is for 5 Users, 10k Contacts, Pro Level for $8k Annual." (reddit.com)
Finally, what is ZoomInfo pricing?
Ok here it is. The entry-level pricing plan is 'Professional' and begins at $14,995 per year, typically requiring a minimum two-year commitment. There. Done.
Well almost.
If you try to opt into a one-year contract that is likely to result in a slight price increase. This also doesn't factor in any of the many features and add-ons that are available for each of ZoomInfo’s pricing tiers - for a price of course.
Here is the Zoominfo pricing information you're after, as well as a detailed breakdown of the features you're paying for with each tier.

Are there additional ZoomInfo costs to know about?
If you're planning to splash out $40,000 for the ZoomInfo Elite package, you can skip ahead as most of these additional costs will be 'free' for you!
Speaking from experience, when you first partner with platforms like ZoomInfo, Apollo.io, and Clay it feels like a world of possibilities open up for you. But you'll soon realise that a lot of these possibilities can't be realised with what's available to you in the professional and advanced pricing plans. Especially the professional plan, which is missing key features like contact phone numbers, and intent data!
What this means for you? Forking out additional money for addons and upgrades that allow you to do the things you've now realised you can do!
Unexpected Zoominfo costs I've experienced with clients
One of our clients wanted to use ZoomInfo to enrich their CRM data. As a global business they needed to update global contact data. This required the 'Global Data' addon that costs $9,995. (You can read more about CRM and AI personalisation here)
Another client was using ZoomInfo to gather email addresses for key contacts within their target account list. The problem is, they only wanted verified email addresses that have the best chance of accuracy and delivery. This required the NeverBounce addon that costs $3,000.
We often expand our data-driven GTM strategies to regional sales teams that want in on the aciton. That's great! but every extra seat on Zoominfo costs you at least $1,500 per year. Sometimes adding seats to the advanced / elite packages costs more. Go figure.
This is just a small sample of some of the additional costs involved when you invest in ZoomInfo, and these are the ones that are clearly labelled as addons and upgrades. We haven't even discussed credits yet, or the hidden costs that they don't want you to know. Keep reading!

One of the ways I've tried to use Zoominfo is to help me identify good fit accounts that have a higher propensity to buy from our clients here at Fifty Five and Five.
"There are two data points I looked at. The first is recent funding - the idea was that recently funded businesses are in a better position to spend on B2B tech. The second is technographic data - understanding what technology a business uses to identify synergistic / competitor opportunities.
The problem is, when I looked through funding data it was full of gaps or often too old to be relevant. When I tried to use technographic data, the companies I was targeting were listed as using every tool under the sun - and there was no way for me to identify if my target personas were even aware of the technology, let alone the ones using it!"

Have you considered the cost of your ZoomInfo credits?
Credits is a whole topic of its own. Most tools like ZoomInfo and Clay.com operate on a credit-based model, where each data request or search depletes your balance. Pricier plans give the illusion of bottomless data by offering tens of thousands of credits, but real intelligence requires multiple search layers, expensive data points, and often stringing results together for deeper insight.
That's right, some data points cost more credits than others. The specific credit cost for different types of data can vary, but here's a rough breakdown:
- Basic Contact Information: Accessing standard details like a contact's name, job title, and company may consume fewer credits per record.
- Direct Dial Numbers and Email Addresses: Obtaining direct contact details typically requires more credits due to the value and difficulty in acquiring this information.
- Intent Data and Technographics: Accessing advanced data points, such as a company's purchasing intent or the technologies they use, often consumes additional credits because of the depth and specificity of the information.
Zoom offers a basic 5,000 credits per year! Not a lot. For businesses dealing with multiple contacts per company, niche persona mapping, or in-depth segmentation, you’ll burn through 5,000 credits faster than anticipated.
How much are ZoomInfo credits?
When you do run out, you can purchase 'bulk credits' for around $3,000 per 5,000 credits, which works out to about $0.60 per credit. However, the cost can vary depending on your plan and how many you buy at once—larger bulk purchases often come with discounts.
Whilst credits often end up becoming a nasty additional cost, they are at least a known quantity. You can track and manage your credit usage at all times in the platform. What you're about read next are the costs that you can't easily quantify.
Does Zoominfo pricing have a hidden cost?
Yes! Many data tools like ZoomInfo, Clay.com and Apollo.io claim to offer seamless automation, AI-powered insights, and access to multiple data sources. But beneath the surface, the true costs add up — way beyond the confusing world of credits.
Additional processing adds cost and complexity
To extract real value, businesses often need custom workflows, data validation, and third-party integrations (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, external databases). While AI-powered agents promise automation, they also introduce technical setup challenges and hidden processing costs. ZoomInfo is no different.
Learning curves and resource drain
Adopting a new data tool means training your team on AI models, query structuring, and system workflows. Understanding which AI model to use (and the associated cost per task) isn’t straightforward. Do you know the difference between the AI models, and which is best for each task? And the cost implications of these decisions?
CRM admins and marketing teams often find themselves investing significant time and effort just to get a basic system running—let alone leveraging it for strategic advantage.
Freelancers and outsourcing risks
Many point solutions acknowledge their complexity by offering marketplaces of freelancers who can assist with setup and enrichment. However, this introduces additional costs, security concerns, and compliance issues:
- Data security: Are you comfortable sharing your CRM data with a third party?
- GDPR & compliance risks: Can you legally allow external contractors access to your customer data?
- Ongoing maintenance: If your freelancer moves on, who ensures continuity?
Our client struggled out of a 3-year deal when intent data flopped
"In 2024 one of our clients had unknowingly inherited a 3-year deal with Zoominfo - it was initially not a problem at all. In fact, this kind of thing happens all the time. It was only when their sales team started using the intent data from Zoominfo that they realised their expectation vs reality was not aligned. The intent signals were too broad, and because they are IP-based, sales conversations were non existant. Even for accounts that were flagged as the highest intent! Given the premium cost, they couldn't get out of the contact quick enough"

Does ZoomInfo Copilot make the pain go away?
The first thing you need to know is that advanced tools like Copilot are not included in the Professional Plan. To utilise it you'll need to purchase the Advanced or Elite plans which start at $24,000.
It's no suprise to see ZoomInfo release AI copilot as a feature. The question is whether it's a valuable feature that helps justify Zoominfo's premium cost? Here are some of the key benefits early users are epxeriencing having adopted the tool:
- 71% of users said Copilot helped them uncover new opportunities at existing accounts.
- Users save 10 hours a week on research and manual tasks.
- 65% of users engaged customers "at the right time" with Copilot's recommendations.
Sadly, I haven't had the chance to use the tool myself - and despite my digging, it doesn't look like there are any genuine reviews of the product out there. Given how amazing the tool is positioned to be in this video - it's suprising for there to be so little buzz around it 8-months after it's mainstream release.
Still thinking about buying ZoomInfo? Let's Recap.
By now, you’ve hopefully got a clear picture of ZoomInfo’s pricing and limitations... does ZoomInfo still feel like the right investment?
- Pricing Confusion – You won’t get a straight answer from ZoomInfo’s website. Plans start at $14,995 per year, but most people find themselves needing the functionality (mobile numbers, intent data) that only unlocks at $25,000+ per year.
- Credits Vanish Fast – A basic plan gives you 5,000 credits per year, and if you run out (which you will), expect to pay $3,000 for just 5,000 more.
- Intent Data? Not as Smart as You’d Hope – IP-based signals lead to false positives and dead-end outreach.
- Sales vs. Marketing Bundling Issues – Essential features like direct dials (sales) and buyer intent (marketing) are in separate packages—meaning you pay for both.
- Copilot & AI? Another Price Tag – ZoomInfo’s new AI-driven Copilot isn’t included in basic plans, requiring an Elite-tier upgrade or extra purchase.
If you’re looking for data enrichment, deeper insights, or real-time personalization at scale for sales, there is one more thing I'd like to tell you about! Compass Data Enrichment.
Compass Data Enrichment - The best ZoomInfo alternative.
We found ZoomInfo and its rivals lacking—and not just in its pricing. So we built Compass Data Enrichment, a fully managed platform that eliminates the complexity and hidden costs of traditional data providers.
The problem with traditional data providers.
Platforms like ZoomInfo, Clay.com, and Apollo.io claim to offer comprehensive B2B intelligence, but they come with major drawbacks:
- Opaque pricing structures with unexpected costs for add-ons, additional credits, and user licenses.
- Limited flexibility, forcing users to pay for broad, often irrelevant databases instead of targeted insights.
- Steep learning curves that require in-house expertise to navigate AI tools, API integrations, and query structuring.
- Data decay and inconsistencies, meaning sales teams waste time chasing outdated or incomplete leads.
